About us
Dong Hung Vien Co., Ltd. is one of Saigon’s long-standing mooncake brands; established prior to 1954, it is a familiar name among culinary enthusiasts whenever the Mid-Autumn Festival arrives.
According to legend, the peacock is a bird of noble beauty, symbolizing auspiciousness and purity in Eastern culture. In Buddhism, the peacock embodies the Peacock Wisdom King Bodhisattva (Mahamayuri), a figure revered for the power to avert calamity, dispel illness, and bring peace and blessings to all sentient beings.
Inspired by this sacred significance, Dong Hung Vien Co., Ltd. adopted the peacock as its brand emblem, aiming to convey noble values and bring good fortune, prosperity, and happiness to every family.
